What:
• This multi-part series, based on David Brooks’ book” How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen” has proven to be very worthwhile for our community and our personal lives.
• We finish out the skill building sessions talking all about emotions which Brooks covers in Chapter 11. We’ll share stories of times we’ve received empathy, seen empathy extended to others, and times we’ve offered empathy.
• To conclude the session, we’ll talk in small groups about how we might continue to nurture the skills learned from Brook’s book in our own lives and in our communities. Join in our efforts to improve our engagement with other Jubilee residents.
• If you have attended any, all or none of the prior sessions, please consider attending this final one. Insights and skills strategies will be offered in a creative and interactive way.
• If you haven’t read the book, come anyway.
